Powering the Future Shouldn’t Cost Us Christmas

We don’t have to choose between reliable power and rural communities.

You may have seen the news story about Gaver Farm, a family-owned Christmas tree farm in Maryland under threat from the MPRP. It struck a nerve—because no one believes powering data centers should come at the cost of farms, traditions, or livelihoods.

And it doesn’t have to.

The Gaver Family is not alone. The same project puts more than 400 properties, hundreds of working farms, preserved lands, forests, and family homes at risk across Baltimore, Carroll, and Frederick Counties in Maryland —despite the fact that there are smarter, less destructive ways to meet growing energy demand.

🌲We can power data centers without cutting through farms.

🌲We can create energy and construction jobs where data centers are built.
🌲We can modernize the grid without overriding communities.
🌲We can plan for the future without sacrificing what we value today.

🌲What’s happening now isn’t about necessity—it’s about choices.

Support the fight to protect farms, property rights, and better energy solutions. We need your help.

Prepare for the MD Public Service Commission (PSC) Process

You don’t have to be an intervenor to speak—anyone can share comments at the upcoming PSC hearings. A short, two-minute statement can make a big impact. Hearings will be held in each affected county (dates TBD), so now’s the time to start thinking about what you want to say. Your voice matters.
